2015年10月,联合国宣布地球上有73亿人。预计到2050年将达到97亿,到2100年将增加到112亿。由于土地、水域和海洋资源利用有限,动植物产量增长有限,废弃物呈指数级增加,导致环境恶化。人类如何生存?自2014年在荷兰召开第一届“昆虫养育世界”国际会议以来,世界粮农组织(FAO)一直在推广食用昆虫。近年来,利用亮斑扁角水虻 (Hermetia illucens, L.)(双翅目:水虻科)幼虫将有机废弃物转化为昆虫蛋白质和脂肪做饲料,因其成本低、处理时间短、生物处理效率高而受到人们广泛的关注。水虻与微生物的研究与应用取得了快速的进展。为了交流水虻与微生物的研究进展,推进水虻与微生物的创新链和产业链,提高水虻与微生物在全球范围内绿色低碳循环经济中的作用,“第四届水虻与微生物研究与应用国际研讨会” 将于2022年10月11日至14日在中国武汉举行,组委会诚挚邀请国内外同行参加本次大会。

The 4th International Symposium on Research and Application of Black Soldier Fly and Microbes
October 11-14, 2022, Wuhan, China
The United Nations, October 2015, announced that there were 7.3 billion people on earth. It is expected to reach 9.7 billion by 2050, and will increase to 11.2 billion by 2100. With the application of limited land, water area and marine resources, and limited production growth of plants and animals, the exponentially increased waste leads to the environment deteriorated. How can human survive? Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) has been promoting “Edible Insect to Feed the World” since the first international conference in Netherland in 2014. In recent years, the use of larvae of the black soldier fly (BSF, Hermetia illucens, (L.)) (Diptera: Stratiomyidae) to convert organic waste to protein and fat suitable for feed has attracted attention due to the low-cost, short treatment time, and high efficiency of the biological process. The research and application of BSF and microbes has made rapid progress. In order to exchange our black soldier fly and microbes research progress, promote the innovation chain and industrial chain of black soldier fly and microorganisms, improve the role of black soldier fly and microorganisms in the global green low-carbon circular economy, the 4th International Symposium on Research and Application of Black Soldier Fly and Microbes will be held during 11-14th October, 2022 in Wuhan, China. The organizing committee sincerely invites colleagues worldwide to attend this conference.
